His real name is Christopher Geppert. His more known composition is " Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) " for the movie Arthur led by Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. The song won the Oscar in 1981 (prize shared with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen).

Cross-country race was touching with a group of Austin called Flash before signing a contract with Warner Bros, thanks to which published the first album called Christopher Cross in 1979 for which won 5 prizes Grammy. He received in the same show 4 principal prizes that are: Better Recording, Better Song, Better Album and Best new Artist, record that he shares with Norah Jones.  Of this album stand out the songs Sailing, Ride Like the Wind and Never Be the Same.  His second album called “Another Page” of 1983 was including the songs Think of Laura and All Right.
