Bill Bruford
William Scott Bruford (born on May 17, 1948 in Sevenoaks, Kent, England), more known by the name of Bill Bruford, plays the drums and he is known by his strong, precise and polyrhythmic style and for having taken part with diverse musical bands, among which stand out particularly three important groups of progressive Rock, the group Yes, King Crimson and Genesis.
Bruford is, since he was announced, a prominent figure of the art rock. He has been in many bands and in numerous projects, of which the most famous are the group Yes, King Crimson and his own group called simply Bruford.
He jumped to the fame at the beginning of the decade of the seventies with "Yes", taking part in some of his more early works, The Yes Album, "Fragile" and " Close To The Edge ", but he stopped to the band in 1972 when he accepted Robert Fripp's invitation to join King Crimson. Also, he was during a year on tour with the group Genesis. The group Earthworks has been his priority in the last years, particularly since he left King Crimson's in 1999, which meant the end of the experiment of " double trio ".
