Achinoam Nini known in Europe for her artistic name Noa, is an Israeli singer born in Tel Aviv on June 23, 1969. The strongest influences for Noa come from the singers and writers of their own songs from the 60’s as  Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohenand or  Paul Simon. These musical and lyric sensibilities combined with Noa's Yemeni roots and Gil Dor's strong cultural base in the world of the Jazz, the classic music and the rock have created the unique sound in the music of Noa & Gil Dor, that we can find on the hundreds of compound and interpreted songs. Noa touches the percussion, the guitar and the piano. Together, they edited in 1991 their first album, sung in Hebrew and live, of a style pop/jazz.

In 1993 there appeared their second album, a collection of poems of poetisas sung Israelis that made her much known in Israel. Along more than 15 years of their career together, Gil and Noa have written and produced 4 acclaimed and successful álbumes in Israel: " Achinoam Nini and Gil Dor Live ", " Achinoam Nini and Gil Dor " (also known as " Rachel and Leah ") and "Achinoam Nini". Their four international álbums are "Noa" (produced by Pat Metheny), "Calling" (produced on Rupert Hine) for Geffen Records, " Blue Touches Blue " (produced by Mike Hedges) for Mercury Records and "Now" (produced on Gil Dor y Yoad Nevo) for Universal Music.
