Formed in Cardiff, Wales, in 1993, Super Furry Animals started by doing electronic music though soon they incorporated sparkles of psychodelic and from progressive rock to their songs. In the first moment, they appeared with the progressive punk of their fabulous début "Fuzzy Logic" (1996) and with the angry art-rock of "Guerrilla” (1997).

Brave, mysterious and mystical,their real record opus would come in 2001 thanks to " Rings Around The World". 

Their last works, "Love Kraft" (2005) and newly edited “Hey Venus!” In 2007, in which they allow that also the country and the orchestral music should filter, they demonstrate that their extraterrestrial pop is kept always young. Not to speak about their last projects in parallel: albums in solitary of Gruff Rhys, their collaboration with the rapper Boom Bip, recopilations for Trojan, an orchestral project together with Charles Hazelwood …

These Welshmen, so eccentric, that allow themselves the luxury of singing even in galeico, are and will be one of so many and so good secrets avoided the music indie, and a clear example of which the best of the kind not always goes out to the surface.
