Created  in May, 1989 by the drum player  Txus, this musical group hasn´t a typical definite style since their songs change between the Celtic Rock to the metal. Considered already by many as the best band of Folk Rock of Spain, Mägo de Oz possesses a great amount of followers in Spain, America and even in different European countries.

Their name refers to the philosophy that their founder caught from the movie of the same title “The life is a way of yellow tiles. There is a  path and your dreams are ultimately, and you have your friends to cross it with you”.

They have recorded discs as popular as " La Bruja" , “La Leyenda de la Mancha " or "Finisterra".

Nowadays some works are waited as “Barakaldo D.F” (the trailer of Aquelarre) an intermediate disc before finishing Gaia's trilogy, called " La ciudad de los árboles " and such an awaited “Gaia III”. The arrival from the latter is expected for summer of 2008 since the band will be expiring 20 years of musical path, where there is waited a collaboration of the orchestra directed by the father of Mohamed, violinist of the group.
